What happens in a first session?
We talk about what brought you in, what you hope will change, and what has helped before. You never have to share more than you want to. By the end we agree on goals and how often to meet.
How do telehealth sessions work?
Sessions take place over secure video, so you can meet from home or any private space with a steady internet connection. I currently see clients who are located in Florida.
Can we meet in Haitian Creole?
Yes. I provide therapy in both Haitian Creole and English, and you can switch between them whenever you like.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share is kept confidential, with the limited exceptions the law requires, such as a risk of serious harm. I will go over this with you at the start.
Do I need a diagnosis to begin?
No. If something has been weighing on you, that is enough reason to talk.
